I scored a good goal.

With Chelsea fans beginning to lose patience at their team's latest spluttering home display, Willian lifted the mood in the nick of time with his superb second-half curler.

However, Sarri might turn down the offer just as he reportedly did to Barcelona's player-plus-cash move for the Brazilian during the week.

Willian has been with the Blues since the summer of 2013 and during the past five-and-a-half seasons, he has contributed 49 goals from 268 appearances for the club.

After Cesc Fabregas left the club and Jorginho endured a hard game against Newcastle, Maurizio Sarri wants midfield reinforcements. "I need an option for Jorginho".

The former Napoli manager responded similarly to talk Willian potential exit in an interview with Sky Sports, claiming: "You know very well that Willian is a very important player". I need the player there [in that position]. "I can not do anything more". "For us he's fundamental".

"[On Saturday] we scored after nine minutes, so the team thought it is very easy".

Increased risk United Kingdom parliament acts to frustrate Britain's European Union exit - Brexit minister
British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Sunday that a failure to support her Brexit deal will be catastrophic for Britain. Ministers have warned the United Kingdom faces Brexit "paralysis" if this happens.

Sarri said: "I was happy with the result, I was happy with the performance at Tottenham".

"After the goal something happened, we stopped playing".

"We slept for 25 minutes and then we were in trouble".

The 40-year-old went on to say Newcastle fans should be grateful Ashley appointed Rafael Benitez as manager, also describing the north-east side as "a yo-yo club" and adding: "He wants to sell the club, why should he go and spend millions of pounds?"

But it took only nine minutes for the Blues to go in front as Newcastle's five-man defence was carved open easily. We were better in the second half but we need to improve the mental reaction.

But after a half-time rocket from Sarri, his team improved and Eden Hazard laid the ball off to Willian, who curled a lovely shot into the far corner.

"What I can see is that we have to stay calm - it's a long-distance race, next week against Cardiff will be massive but still we have to win more games".
