"Breaking Bad" ran for five seasons from 2008 to 2013 and told the story of Walter White, a chemistry teacher who turns to making meth after a cancer diagnosis and enlists the help of former student Jesse.

The report also claims that the script is being shot as a feature-length movie, although this is yet to be confirmed.

This would be an interesting reversal of the way that the series first aired, with each season dropping episodes weekly in a standard broadcast TV model before heading to Netflix for the world's binging pleasure roughly a year after the conclusion of each season.

The feature film based on the blockbuster series Breaking Bad will air on both Netflix and AMC, Deadline reported on Wednesday.

No one would comment, but word is that the two networks might have their roles reversed, with Netflix taking first window and AMC second. Even Gilligan himself acknowledged that when accepting the show's first Emmy for Best Drama.

I think Netflix kept us on the air. "Not only are we standing up here [with the Emmy], I don't think our show would have even lasted beyond season two", he said.

Paul's on-screen counterpart Bryan Cranston confirmed the existence of the movie previous year, but was circumspect on the chances of his teacher-turned-kingpin Walter White returning for a continuation of the story. "If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, then sure, absolutely", Cranston said previous year.

We're getting a clearer picture of what Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad movie will look like. Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein, both of whom have worked with Gilligan on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, are on board as producers.

A fifth season of spin-off show, Better Call Saul, focusing on White's dodgy lawyer Saul Goodman, is set to air this year.

Per the New Mexico Film Office, a film titled "Greenbrier" was scheduled to film in Albuquerque from November to mid-February.
