Bill Cosby hasn't seen his wife or children since entering a maximum security Pennsylvania prison four months ago.

"Despite the circumstances, this is an wonderful experience" for the millionaire entertainer, Cosby publicist and crisis manager Andrew V. Wyatt told NBC 10 Philadelphia in a two-part interview that aired this week.

Wyatt said that "despite the circumstances", the disgraced comic, 81, told him that being locked up "is an unbelievable experience".

Wyatt also confirmed that Cosby's wife and children haven't yet visited him in prison.

"My political beliefs, my actions of trying to humanize all races, genders and religions landed me in this place surrounded by barb wire fencing, a room made of steel and iron", the disgraced comic said in the statement released Wednesday by his spokesman Andrew Wyatt.

Cosby is now being held at the SCI-Phoenix prison in Philadelphia, where he was recently moved to general population from a specialized unit.

Usher And Rich The Kid Involved In Studio Armed Robbery
Although Usher was in the Westlake Recording Studio at the time the incident took place, he was not involved in any way. Prior to the robbery, Rich the Kid shared a photo of himself holding a stack of cash, standing next to a Lamborghini.

Cosby, 81, was convicted last April on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.

Cosby has also lost weight since being jailed and wakes at 3.30am each morning to exercise.

In his interview, Wyatt painted Cosby as a man doing the best he can under the circumstances. The prison, 30 miles outside of Philadelphia, is about a 30- to 45-minute drive from Montgomery County, where Cosby has a home. He is forgoing bread and desert, and "hasn't drank any coffee since he's been in there", Wyatt explained. "Now the amusing part about it (is) Mrs. Cosby's been trying to stop him from drinking coffee for 55 years and it took this to stop him from drinking coffee", Wyatt said.

Instead, Cosby converses with Camille Cosby, 74, three times a day, for about three minutes each over the phone.

After a stint in a single-cell unit, he was recently transferred to another unit, where he is able to interact with other inmates.

Not surprisingly, his spokesman said, "he does not eat in the area with other residents, he does not have a cellmate, and he does not exercise with other residents". As for all other general population prisoners, Cosby must be accounted for in his cell seven times each day.
