Sambhaji is ruling fiercely, this time at the box office! Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, a historical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has grossed more than 200 crores in six days of release.
According to the makers, Laxman Utekar’s film has grossed Rs 203.68 crores, with Day 6 pooling in Rs 32.4 crores. The film’s occupancy saw a huge surge on Shiv Jayanti, 19th February.

The film, which hit the screens on February 14, 2025, is now all set to become the highest-grosser in Vicky Kaushal’s career so far; Uri: The Surgical Strike is currently his biggest hit, with a box office result of Rs 244.14 crore.
Chhaava, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in prominent roles, has surpassed the box office numbers of Raazi (2018)and Sam Bahadur (2023), the other two hit films of Vicky Kaushal.
Based on the Maratha warrior, the film has expectedly performed well in Maharashtra. According to Sacnilk, Pune saw a staggering 84.50% occupancy on Day 6.
