A bevy of Bollywood celebrities visited Prayagraj over the last few weeks to take a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025. From Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal to Akshay Kumar, Hindi film actors joined the euphoria at Sangam, the convergence of the holy rivers of Ganga and Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati.
On Monday, Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif visited the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj along with her mother-in-law Veena Kaushal. They met spiritual leaders Swami Chidanand Saraswati and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati during the visit.

Chhaava actor Vicky Kaushal, who is married to Kaif, also took a holy dip in the Sangam earlier this month.

Furthermore, actors Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta and Vivek Oberoi also reached Prayagraj on Monday (February 24) to immerse themselves in the Triveni Sangam.

The Maha Kumbh began on January 13, drawing large crowds of pilgrims including important public figures, politicians, industrialists, sportspersons and film stars. The swelling conglomeration witnessed fatalities on January 29, with at least 30 devotees dying in a chaotic stampede.

Earlier, celebrities like Kabir Khan, Vidyut Jammwal, Anupam Kher, Rajkummar Rao and his wife Patralekhaa, Tamannaah Bhatia, Kailash Kher, Boney Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and others participated in the Maha Kumbh.
A dip in the Sangam is believed to cleanse sins and rejuvenate the spirit. Speaking with ANI at the time of his visit, Kabir Khan had stressed the universality of the Kumbh Mela, saying: “This happens once in 12 years. I feel fortunate to have come here. I will take a holy dip here too. These things are not about Hindus and Muslims, these are the things of our origin, our country and our civilization. There is no Hindu or Muslim in this, if you believe you are an Indian, then you should feel everything.”
