Salman Khan in ‘Sikandar’
Making good on his commitment, superstar Salman Khan has unveiled the teaser of his upcoming film, Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the massy, flashy action thriller also features Rashmika Mandanna. Stocked with beatdowns and dialogue-baazi (“insaaf nahi, saaf karne aaya hoon…”, Sikandargrowls), this Eid release is Salman’s first solo outing in over a year, after a couple of cameos in Singham Again and Baby John.
Curiously, while a prior promo of Sikandar was also an ‘official teaser’, with Salman taking on armoured assassins in style, this one is the ‘official film teaser’. It finds the 59-year-old superstar in his element, dusting up assailants, spouting whistler-worthy lines (‘kayde mein raho, fayde mein raho’), and just generally having a good time. Rashmika appears in a couple of songs and a brief scene, praising Sikandar’s ‘popularity’ among his enemies. Baahubali actor Sathyaraj plays the primary antagonist in the film.

Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Sikandar will release in cinemas on the Eid weekend next month.
