Netflix India has debuted the trailer for Nadaaniyan, a romantic drama marking the debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan and co-starring Khushi Kapoor. Directed by Shauna Gautam and produced by (who else?) Karan Johar, the film is set to stream from March 7.

Set in a law college, the kind of top-tier, Riverdale High-inspired fairyland Johar’s banner is known for, Nadaaniyan chronicles the romance of Pia Jai Singh (Khushi Kapoor) and Arjun Mehta (Ibrahim Ali Khan). Pia, a rich lass, has love on her mind, while Arjun, of humbler stock, aspires to work hard, become the debate team captain—he’s got the looks for it—and eventually secure a campus placement. A deal, thus, is struck.
“Pia ropes Arjun into a transactional arrangement — posing as her boyfriend to pull off the perfect romantic facade. The plan is simple: keep everyone guessing, no strings attached. But as real feelings sneak in, misunderstandings take over, leaving the duo questioning whether love can ever be scripted,” reads a note from the makers.
Nadaaniyaan also features Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza and Jugal Hansraj in key roles.
Ibrahim is the eldest son of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and his former wife and actress Amrita Singh. Khushi Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi, made her acting debut in The Archies. She was more recently seen in Loveyapa, alongside fellow star kid Junaid Khan.
