With just mere days left for the release of Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, fans are all set to celebrate their favourite actor’s next big release. But celebrations in the PSS Multiplex in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, took a dark turn when a massive cut-out of the actor, which was reportedly more than 200 feet tall, collapsed.

The video of the cut-out coming down and crashing has gone viral on social media. From the clip, it’s known that the cut-out was not fully completed, and while installing, the scaffolding is said to have given way to the collapse of the structure. The video also showed fans frantically running away from the falling cut-out, and it’s reported that no one was injured because of this accident.
This comes just a couple of years after the tragic death of a theatre-goer on the 4 am first day show of Ajith’s Thunivu, which led to the cancellation of such early shows in the state. While fans celebrating the release of their favourite actor has been a practise for decades, the number of cases where fans have gotten themselves injured or even worse have been rising over the years.
Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, Good Bad Ugly features Trisha as the female lead. Interestingly, Trisha was also a part of Ajith’s latest film, Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaa Muyarchi. Prabhu, Prasanna, Arjun Das, Shine Tom Chacko, Sunil, Rahul Dev and Yogi Babu are also part of the cast of Good Bad Ugly.

The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash. Abinandhan Ramanujam serves as the cinematographer, while Vijay Velukutty is on board as the editor. Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar produce the film under their Mythri Movie Makers banner. The film is set to be released in theatres on April 10.
