Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is celebrating her 32nd birthday on Saturday, March 15. Regarded widely as one of the best Indian actors of the generation, Alia continues to be an inspiration to many young women.
The star, daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt and actor Soni Razdan, made her debut as a lead in 2012, with Karan Johar’s teen drama Student of the Year. In a career that has spanned more than ten years, Alia has cemented her position as one of the most sought-after performers in the country, having starred in several notable titles like Highway, Kapoor & Sons, Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi, Raazi, Gully Boy, Darlings, RRR, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Alia was named Best Actress (a joint win with Mimi-star Kriti Sanon) at the 69th National Film Awards for her globally acclaimed, scene-stealing performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.
In 2022, the actor forayed into film production with Eternal Sunshine Productions, a banner under which she produced Darlings, Jigra, and the Prime Video series Poacher. In 2023, Alia made her Hollywood debut with the Netflix spy-thriller Heart of Stone, headlined by Gal Gadot.
The Brahmastra-star is married to Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor. The couple have a two-year-old daughter, Raha Kapoor.
