Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui’s OTT show Hafta Vasooli has come under scrutiny after a legal complaint was filed against him for allegedly hurting religious sentiments and promoting obscenity. Advocate Amita Sachdeva shared details of the complaint on social media, calling for an FIR under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the IT Act.According to the complaint, Hafta Vasooli insults multiple religions, violates cultural values, and negatively influences viewers, particularly young audiences.
