‘Kuberaa’: Dhanush-Sekhar Kammula film gets a release date

Kuberaa marks the Telugu debut of Dhanush. The film also stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh and Rashmika Mandanna. Produced by Sekhar Kammula, Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, Kuberaa hits the screens on June 20, 2025.

In the first look released by the makers in March 2024, Dhanush exuded a calm, disquieting menace. The first-look visuals of Nagarjuna and Rashmika have also intrigued people.

The first glimpse of the movie, released in November 2024, hinted at a social thriller. Dhanush was seen in the role of a beggar while Nagarjuna appeared like a family man. Jim Sarbh seems to be essaying the role of a businessman, and Rashmika Mandanna is likely to portray the role of a woman from a middle-class background.

Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for Kuberaa while Niketh Bommireddy has handled the cinematography. Karthik Srinivas is the editor. Sekhar Kammula, who collaborated with Sai Pallavi in his previous two projects (Fidaa and Love Story), is gearing up for the release of his 10th film.

Meanwhile, Dhanush’s third directorial, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, hit the screens on February 21, 2025. The movie clashed at the box office with Pradeep Ranganathan-Ashwath Marimuthu movie Dragon. Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, a coming-of-age romantic comedy, opened to mixed reviews.

Dhanush is awaiting the release of his fourth directorial, Idliy Kadai. Also starring Nithya Menen and Arun Vijay, the movie will release on April 10, locking horns with Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, at the box office.
