Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who is in the limelight for the blockbuster L2: Empuraan, announced on Monday (April 7) that his upcoming film Thudarum will be released in theatres on April 25. The film, co-starring Shobana, was earlier slated for release on January 30 but was postponed due to some reasons.
The superstar unveiled a new poster on social media to announce the news.

Directed by Tharun Moorthy, Thudarum is bankrolled by M Renjith under the banner Rejaputhra Visual Media.
The film brings back Mohanlal and Shobhana after 15 years on the big screen. The evergreen pair, known for hit films such as Nadodikattu (1987), Minnaram (1994), Manichitrathazhu (1993), Thenmavin Kombath (1994), Pakshe (1994), and Maya Mayuram (1993), is back in the movie, which promises fun, suspense and nostalgia.
Earlier, the makers unveiled the trailer, which showed Mohanlal as a taxi driver in love with his black ambassador. Shobana plays his wife. The two are seen sharing several charming moments in the trailer, which ends on a mysterious note as we see a change in the attitude of Mohanlal’s character who seems to have lost his car.
Thudarum is written by Tharun Moorthy and KR Sunil. The film has been edited by the late Nishadh Yusuf and Shafeeque VB. Nishadh, a seasoned Malayalam editor, was found dead at his residence in Kochi in November last year.
