Actor William Levy, known for his role in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, was arrested Monday in Florida on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing. The 44-year-old was taken into custody in Weston, part of the Miami metro area, by the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

According to jail records obtained by WPLG-TV, Levy was booked into the Broward County Main Jail for causing a public disturbance while intoxicated. As of Tuesday, he remained behind bars with no listed release date or projected sentence.

Levy, a Cuban-American star with a considerable fanbase, rose to fame through his work in Spanish-language telenovelas and transitioned into mainstream Hollywood with roles in Resident Evil, Girls Trip, The Single Moms Club, and Term Life. He also appeared in Season 14 of Dancing With The Stars, where he partnered with professional dancer Cheryl Burke.

Beyond acting, Levy gained attention in the music world with his appearance in Jennifer Lopez’s 2011 music video for I’m Into You. Although dating rumors surrounded the pair at the time, they were publicly denied.

The arrest is the second legal issue for Levy within a year. In 2024, police were called to his home after a complaint from ex-partner Elizabeth Gutiérrez, who claimed Levy was intoxicated and with another woman during the incident, as reported by Hola.

Levy, who has over 12 million Instagram followers, has yet to make a public statement regarding the arrest.
