Prabhas in ‘Salaar’; Sandeep Reddy Vanga on August 10, 2019

Ever since it was announced, Spirit, Telugu superstar Prabhas’ film with Arjun Reddy-maker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has been the talk of the tinsel town. Now, according to reports, the film, currently in its scripting stage, will go on floors in October this year.
According to Pinkvilla, Sandeep is looking to reinvent the cop genre, and that the film will follow the “quintessential hero vs. villain format.”
“With Vanga, you can expect a genre-breaking film and he spent over 6 months to develop the story into a screenplay. The casting has been going on in tandem, and with most of the things now falling in place, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is all set to take Spirit with Prabhas on floors from September/October 2025,” Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the development.
The source added that Sandeep has requested Prabhas to maintain a lean physique so he could perform most of the stunts himself.
Interestingly, the report added that Sandeep is currently scouting for actors from the US and South Korea to star in the film, which is targeting a release in 2027.
Other details regarding the cast and crew remain unknown at the moment. In November last year, Sandeep announced that he had begun working on the film’s music with composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who earlier worked with the director in Animal, Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy.
