And it’s official! KGF-star Yash’s next project, Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, is being simultaneously shot in the English and Kannada languages. The film joins a very limited list of titles that have been shot in both English and an Indian language. Some examples include Nothing But Life (English and Malayalam) and Shalimar (English and Hindi),

Directed by Moothon-fame Geetu Mohandas, Toxic went on floors in Bengaluru in August 2024. The pan-Indian film is bankrolled by KVN Productions, the banner that’s also producing Vijay’s last film, Jana Nayagan. Yash’s Monster Mind Creations is co-producing Toxic.
Hollywood action choreographer JJ Perry, who worked in movies such as Planet of the Apes, Iron Man and John Wick Chapter 2, has joined the movie. BAFTA-winning VFX house DNEG, known for working on Dune: Part Two, is handling the visual effects.
Kiara Advani is reportedly playing a prominent role in the movie which also is said to star Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria.
Apart from Kannada and English, Toxic will also be dubbed in regional languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The makers are yet to confirm the foreign languages in which the film will be dubbed.
